Checks Urged Due to Obesity

American young people are increasingly overweight and
consequently tend to suffer from cardiovascular symptoms at an
earlier age. The National High Blood Pressure Education
Program has, therefore, issued guidelines recommending that
doctors routinely test the blood pressure of children
beginning at age 3 and, where indicated, follow up with
assessments of possible cardiovascular damage. |
